After almost three years of working on Mr. Beller’s Neighborhood as Managing Editor, the time has come for me to pass the torch to the next in line. While I had intended to write some sort of grandiose proclamation to sound my departure and welcome their arrival, it has become quite evident that the best way to do nothing is to intend to do something.
So because anything is better than nothing, I will just say thank you to the contributors with whom I’ve had the pleasure to work and welcome our three new editors to Mr. Beller’s Neighborhood.
Garrett Houghton is a Kansan, writer, and lover of all things deep fried. He currently lives in New York, and has yet to find a corned beef sandwich he did not like.
Theresa Reed is originally from a rural town in Tennessee. She currently lives, works, and writes in Manhattan. She is an NYU alumna (2013) and Fantasy Football Regular Season Champion (2012).
Sofije Brija is a native New Yorker, blogger, poet and fast food lover. An NYU alumna (2013), she continues to write about her experiences and observations on a daily basis.
WELCOME! 🙂
I’ve read your stories and know you will make fine editors!
Again, congratulations!!
Dear Connor,
Good luck in your new endeavors. You will be missed!

I’m an on line writer & would like to submit a new article of mine. My article is on a social issue having to do with coop shareholder injustices that many coop shareholders are subjected to. I’ve been published on line with my articles that have been published on line. I would like to submit my new article which I would also like to submit for publication consideration. My email is stargazy377@aol.com . It’s New York story that many can relate to. I’ve also written a couple of coop related stories on line that were published. I would like to know your email address. Hi Naomi,
Thanks for reaching out! You can submit a nonfiction story by clicking “TELL MR. BELLER A STORY” on the banner. Let us know if you have any trouble with the submission form.
Just wondering if (and, more or less, when) you respond to submissions. Or, when (or if) a submitter should assume a submission will not be used.
Thanks. Sandy
Hi Sandy,
Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, we can’t respond to everyone. If a submission has not been accepted within two months, you can assume it won’t be published. You’re always welcome to reach out to us via email if you have questions about your story.
Thanks!
