After teaching in the New York City public school system for many years, I received an MFA in non-fiction writing from Sarah Lawrence College in 2007. Since then I have had a number of small pieces published and am currently working on a novel. I am a co-founder and workshop leader of Uptown Writers, a venue for writers in northern Manhattan.
