Dorian Burden spent her early years living in the scrappy neighborhood of the Lower East Side. She worked in magazine publishing before becoming a NYC school teacher, later moving to the Hudson Valley where she taught middle school English for 26 years. Her writing has been published in Human Parts, Bright Flash Literary Review, Sneaker Wave Magazine, and Steam Ticket: A Third Coast Review. She is at work on a memoir.
