I was just thinking of that store yesterday. I used to go there all the time as a kid, and my mother and I would embroider all sorts of things on our family's jeans, overalls. jean jackets, pretty much anything. We would also put studs down all over our jeans. Gee the Kids need clothes was one of the most original, innovative stores in the Village. What a great memory and what an amazing store.

Christine, great article. Would you be willing to sell one of your Gee The Kids shirts?

My father used to help run the store...it's a long story which I would be happy to tell in an email...anyway the shirt would be for someone near and dear to the history of the store...

If so, please name your price. Feel free to email me (maxtannone@gmail.com) as well.

Thanks,
-max
